Benson Henderson to Get 170-Pound Title Shot in Bellator

That was quick!

#TeamEverlast athlete Benson Henderson will challenge Andrey Koreshkov for the Bellator MMA welterweight title on April 22 in Uncasville, Connecticut.

The fight, which will mark Henderson’s promotional debut, will headline Bellator 153.

Henderson is a former UFC and WEC lightweight champion and recently ended a 14-fight run with the UFC by signing a multi-fight deal with Bellator. A longtime 155-pounder, Henderson recorded back-to-back wins as a welterweight in 2015.

Koreshkov  hasn’t fought since he won the Bellator title from Douglas Lima via unanimous decision in July. The 25-year-old is riding a five-fight win streak.

“Win your next fight”, Benson!
