Jon Jones to Compete in a Submission Underground Show

Jon Jones will compete in a Submission Underground show against Dan Henderson this December 11.  This eight minute grappling match under Eddie Bravo Invitational Rules can be watched on FloCombat.com, and will take place in Portland, OR.  Miesha Tate and Jessica “Evil” Eye will also be competing as the co-main event.

Jones and Henderson were supposed to go head to head at UFC 151 back in 2012, but the match was cancelled after Henderson had a last-minute injury.  Jones, widely regarded as the best MMA fighter in the world, began his athletic career in grappling, but made a strong name for himself with his unorthodox striking style.  Now four years later, they will meet on the mat sans elbows, punches, kicks, and the like.

Henderson, 46, a former Olympic wrestler, with too many titles and wins to list, will be sure to test Jones’ grappling skills.  Regardless, this grappling match will be an early present for the wrestling and MMA fans.  Mark your calendar.
