Zuffa Accepts $4.2 Billion Sale of UFC

According to multiple sources, the UFC was sold to a group consisting of IMG/WME, The Dalian Wanda Group, The Kraft Group, and Tencent Holdings. Zuffa, LLC has reportedly accepted the offer and while this does not mean the entire company is officially sold, it is a strong likelihood that the sale will be completed shortly.

Zuffa is owned by Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta, Dana White and Flash Entertainment. It is believed that the purchase is for 100 per cent of the company.

Zuffa purchased the UFC in 2001 for $2 million from the Semaphore Entertainment Group. Since then, the UFC has become a sporting juggernaut and bringing mixed-martial arts into the mainstream.

White, the UFC’s chairman, is expected to remain on with the organization under the new ownership.
