There were long pockets of feinting and watching and looking for that perfect opening, and the volume was pretty pathetic…but with all that, the Saturday tango between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder resonated loudly with most who watched the scrap, from the Forum in LA and on PPV.
The zingiest moment came in round 12, when Fury looked to be down and out…but he collected his scattered marbles and beat the count, so he’d go on to hear the judges rule that the knockdowns by Wilder evened up the score even though the Traveller seemed to dominate long stretches of action.
End result…Promoters get a smooth road toward a rematch.
Yes, it’s the boxing business, and a betting man can often do right by betting on the outcome that is best for business.
So, thinking rematch…
What are the odds on that? I say 100% they do it again. As for who is the favorite, here is what the crew at BOVADA say, courtesy Props PR.
Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury
Deontay Wilder -150 (2/3)
Tyson Fury +120 (6/5)
What say YOU?
You on Team George?
Or Team Lennox?
You think Fury can again take rounds, and this time, avoid the right hand bombs enough to stay aloft the whole 12?
Or no…you think Deontay can learn from the first outing and this time drop and stop the Brit?
